First Aid Kit

Every great survival kit needs a first aid kit. This is the one that was provided with the FoodInsurance package.

It looks fairly substantial but it’s worthwhile to dig in a little for more details.

This is the other side of the first aid kit in the survival kit.

Update 7/12

If you haven’t yet purchased a first aid kit (and none of your supplies came with one as mine did), make sure that you do so.  In fact, as I review my kit, it’s extremely important to make sure that you have the following supplies in any basic first aid kit (though you should feel free to add items to have a more comprehensive first aid kit):

  • Regular Band-Aids or other bandages
  • Extra Large bandages
  • Heavy Weight Woven Fingertip & Knuckle bandages
  • Gauze Bandages
  • Ace-style Bandage
  • Absorbent Compress
  • Medical Tape
  • Antiseptic Towelettes
  • Burn Cream Packets
  • Insect Sting Wipes
  • Gloves
  • Rescue Blanket
  • Instant Cold Pack
  • Wood Splint
  • Acetametophen
  • Ibuprofen
  • First Aid Facts Guide

As you see in the picture, scissors and other basic tools are helpful additions as well.
